Mouthing is part of learning

Babies don’t explore objects only with their hands.

A feeding therapist’s note

I love watching babies explore with their mouths.

Before we ever expect them to manage a spoon or pick up pieces of food, babies are busy learning through grasping, mouthing, biting and bringing their hands and objects towards their mouth.

It’s all valuable experience.

I particularly like teethers that offer interesting textures and are easy for little hands to manage. The Wrist Teether does both, and the bracelet design can help keep it accessible when little hands inevitably let go.
