• 5 patches shaped for the right cheek
• 5 patches shaped for the left cheek

The patches measure approximately 9.5cm × 3cm and are designed to follow the contour of the face.

For smaller children, a patch can be cut in half when appropriate, allowing the size to be adjusted to suit the individual.

Medical-grade tape with a softer touch

A Simple Patch uses hypoallergenic, latex-free 3M medical-grade tape, selected for use against the skin.

However, even medical-grade and hypoallergenic adhesives can cause irritation for some individuals, particularly with repeated application and removal.

Skin should be checked regularly, and the type of adhesive, application technique and removal method should follow the individual’s tube-care recommendations.

Working with children and families who use feeding tubes has taught me that the little practical details matter.

Important

NGTs must be secured, positioned and checked according to the individual’s prescribed tube-feeding and tube-care plan.

These patches are intended to help secure an NGT externally. They do not confirm correct tube placement and should not replace any prescribed method of checking tube position before use.

Always follow guidance from the treating healthcare team regarding tube securement, tape placement, skin preparation, removal and replacement.

Although the tape is described as hypoallergenic, skin irritation or adhesive reactions may still occur. Check the skin regularly and seek advice if redness, blistering, breakdown or discomfort develops.

If a tube becomes loose, moves or is accidentally displaced, follow the individual’s established tube-management instructions before using it again.
