The Lil’ Kooee Natural Instinct Bottle combines a narrow-neck design with the brand’s Natural Instinct Teat system, giving families a practical option for bottle feeding.

Made from clear, heat-resistant polyamide (PA), the 250mL bottle is designed to withstand regular use, cleaning and sterilisation.

It comes complete with a Natural Instinct S Flow teat, featuring Lil’ Kooee’s Airshield® ventilation valve, along with a bottle collar and leak-proof cap.

And because babies don’t all feed the same way, the Natural Instinct range offers alternative teat flows that can be selected according to your baby’s individual feeding skills.

A durable bottle for everyday feeding

The Natural Instinct Bottle is made from polyamide (PA), a clear, impact-resistant plastic selected for its durability and heat resistance.

Its crystal-clear appearance makes it easy to see the contents, while its lightweight construction provides a practical alternative to glass bottles.

The material is designed to tolerate repeated sterilisation according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

While PA is promoted for its durability and heat resistance, no plastic bottle should be described as completely free from the possibility of microplastic release. Following the manufacturer’s preparation, heating and cleaning instructions remains important.

The Natural Instinct Teat

Each 250mL bottle comes with a Natural Instinct S Flow teat.

The teat has a narrow, contoured shape and is designed to provide a particular drinking experience for babies who prefer or manage that shape and flow.

But there’s no single teat shape that creates the ideal latch for every baby.

Different babies respond differently to teat shape, firmness and flow, and the most appropriate option is the one they can manage comfortably.

What does S Flow mean?

Lil’ Kooee’s S Flow is the manufacturer’s suggested option for approximately 3–6 months.

That age range is a guide, not a rule.

Some babies may need a slower flow, while others may be ready for a different option depending on their feeding skills.

The Natural Instinct teat range also includes:

• NB Flow: Newborns up to 5 kg
• SS Flow: Approximately 1–3 months
• S Flow: Approximately 3–6 months
• M Flow: Approximately 6–12 months
• X Flow: Approximately 12+ months

Airshield® ventilation

The included teat features Lil’ Kooee’s Airshield® Valve, designed to allow air to enter the bottle as milk is removed.

This helps manage airflow and pressure inside the bottle during feeding.

You may notice bubbles appearing inside the bottle as the valve operates.

Although ventilation systems are often marketed for reducing swallowed air, colic and reflux, these symptoms can have many different causes. No particular bottle or valve can be relied upon to prevent or treat them.

Ready for feeding at home or on the go

The bottle includes a collar and leak-proof cap for secure assembly and convenient transport.

Its smooth interior is designed to make cleaning straightforward, and the bottle is compatible with sterilisation methods recommended by the manufacturer.

As with any feeding bottle, ensure all components are cleaned thoroughly and assembled correctly before use.

A feeding therapist’s note

One of the most common questions families ask me is whether a particular bottle is better for feeding development.

My answer is usually that the way a baby manages the bottle and teat matters more than the claims printed on the packaging.

I look at whether the baby can comfortably latch onto the teat, manage the milk flow, coordinate sucking, swallowing and breathing, then take pauses when they need them.

I also want feeding to be responsive. We don’t need to encourage a baby to finish a bottle simply because there’s milk left in it.

What I like about the Natural Instinct system is the availability of different teat flows.

If the included S Flow isn’t appropriate for your baby, you can explore another option without necessarily changing the entire bottle.

And remember, moving to a faster flow isn’t a developmental achievement. A comfortable, well-managed feed is far more important than which teat stage your baby is using.

Important

Always supervise babies during feeding and follow safe bottle-feeding, formula preparation, cleaning and sterilisation guidance.

The included S Flow teat may not suit every baby. Choose teat flow according to your baby’s individual feeding skills rather than age alone.

Never prop a bottle or leave a baby unattended while feeding.

If your baby regularly coughs, chokes or splutters during feeds, appears distressed, has difficulty coordinating breathing and swallowing, or has known or suspected swallowing difficulties, seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional.

For babies with dysphagia, aspiration concerns or complex feeding needs, bottle and teat selection should follow the recommendations of their treating speech pathologist or feeding team.
